This trip is sponsored by the Gem and Mineral Society of the Virginia Peninsula, and you must sign up with the field trip coordinator to attend.

Directions from Virginia:
- 81 North
- Through WV into MD
- Take exit 1 (rt 68)
- Take a left on rt 68 towards Williamsport
- Go about 2 miles through all the traffic lights.
- As you pass REDLAND BRICK COMPANY on your right, and before your cross the train tracks, turn left on Bottom Road.
- Go about 2 miles to Pinesburg quarry.
